The honest edit: when we tell you not to buy
Why "don’t buy this" is the most useful thing a merch partner can say — and how it saves you money.
Most merch companies will sell you anything you ask for. We won’t. If an idea is going to end up in a drawer, we’ll say so — before you spend the budget, not after.
The most useful thing we say
"Don’t buy this" sounds like bad business. It isn’t. Every time we talk a client out of the wrong item, we earn the right to be believed on the next one. Trust is the whole product.
What it looks like in practice
You ask for 500 branded umbrellas. We ask where they’ll live, who’ll carry them, and whether anyone will open one twice. Half the time, the honest answer changes the order — fewer units, better item, more kept.
The maths
Merch nobody keeps isn’t cheap because it was cheap to make. It’s expensive because it did nothing. Spend the same money on fewer, better things and the return goes up, not down.
